West December News #2
Dear West Families,
It’s hard to believe that we are a week and a half away from Winter Break! We have had a great first few months of school, and will close out 2025 STRONG and POWERful! December and January are a time when students make many academic gains. Please continue to support your student by encouraging reading at home each and every night. Know that you can reach out to your student’s teacher(s) and our West administrators if you need strategies on how to support academic needs at home.
There are many events happening in December– The PBIS Gingerbread House Making Party, Candy Cane Grams, Breakfast with Buddies, Spirit Week, and a door decorating contest! We need YOU to pull it all off. Please check our West main page for volunteer and donation opportunities.
We are still interested in creating a Parent Pick-Up Patrol to help us ensure the safety of students and to help keep traffic running smoothly. The PPP will help direct traffic, give reminders to drivers, help students get to cars, and more. The informational meeting is rescheduled for Thursday, December 11 at 4:00 PM.
Don’t forget to check out our daily announcements by going to this link: December Announcements
Please contact our administrative team with any questions or concerns!
Warmly,
Chad Tolson, Principal

Candy Cane Grams
Our West PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports) team is running a Candy Cane Gram Sale the week of December 15th. Candy Cane Grams are a fun way for students to celebrate friendships and appreciation for others. Each Candy Cane Gram comes with a candy cane and handwritten card that is delivered to the recipient. Candy Cane Grams will cost .50 cents. All proceeds will go to fund our West Power H Store! We do need volunteers to help push the special Candy Cane cart and sell grams to students during the day on Dec. 15 and Dec. 16.

Breakfast with a Buddy
Breakfast with a Buddy is a fun way for our West students to bring a favorite adult to school. This event will be held on Thursday, December 18, from 7:30 AM-8:15 AM in West’s gym. During this time students and buddies will have a light refreshment and play a game or do a craft. Please RSVP by December 15 via the QR Code.
