College Visits: College Representative Visits will continue in September. Please see the attached calendar for a better visual. College visits will be happening every week in September, so please sign up early to reserve a spot. Seniors should attend at least 1 college visit to gain resources about programs of study and the affordability of college for all students! Youth in Government: Students, there will be a Youth in Government meeting on Wednesday at 10:30 during Advisory in Mr. Ceithaml's room B1206. Please create an Intervention in 5-Star so you can attend. See you all on Wednesday.

The be nice. Club: The be nice. club will have its first meeting on Monday, September 16th after school in B1207. Please reach out to Mrs. Ferguson if you have any questions. Hope to see you there!

Holland Theatre: Important Dutch Theatre meeting after school in Ms. Miller's room J1831 from 3-4 on Mondays.  Information about auditions, State Thespian Festival, homecoming, and more will be shared.

The Holland Disc Golf Club: Do you enjoy hanging with friends, casual competition, and being outdoors?  If so, Disc Golf Club might be for you! Come join us on Thursday, September 12th in Mr. Kordich's room (D2411) for an informational meeting, followed by a 9-hole round on our very own HHS Disc Golf Course.  Hope to see you there!

May I bring a GUEST that is NOT an HHS student? Yes, BUT... you must have a Guest Pass completed, submitted and approved in the SSO no later than Wednesday, Sept. 25th at 3pm. Submit the guest pass BEFORE you purchase the ticket. 

*This is a firm deadline and no exceptions will be granted if your ticket is not purchased on time.

Powder Puff: Hey, Junior and Senior Girls!! If you're interested in playing Powder Puff, waivers are currently in the athletic office. Forms are due in the athletic office by Friday, Sept. 13. The practice is Sept. 15 and the game is Sept. 22. YOU CANNOT PLAY WITHOUT A FORM TURNED IN AND YOU CANNOT PLAY IF YOU MISS THE PRACTICE. We hope to see you there!!

College Night: The annual Holland Area College Night will be held at Hope College on Tuesday, September 17 from 6:00–7:30 p.m. at our DeVos Fieldhouse. Students from all over West Michigan will be there to get to know over 50 colleges, meet the admissions representatives, and learn more about financial aid. Interested students should register for a barcode before the fair at StriveFair.com. During the fair, college reps will scan those barcodes to send them more information about their college. The day after the fair, students will receive a report with information on the colleges they met with.

Sports News

Women's Swimming and Diving: The Dutch hosted The Crusaders at The Holland Aquatic Center for their first home meet of the season. Personal best times were swum by every member of the team, but Holland was unable to secure a win. Senior Miriam Lopez-Koolhaas (26.67) was out-touched by Unity’s Lily Dewaalmalefyt (26.66) in the 50 free. In the 100 freestyle, Lopez-Koolhaas (59.00)had the clear win until Dewaalmalefyt (58.02) pulled ahead in the last 10 yards to win the race. Junior Maggie Telgenhof (150.40) placed second in diving to Unity’s Charlotte Gast (167.15). “Unity Christian was a tough, deep team for us. We are learning and will take tonight’s competition as a good lesson. We saw big improvements in times, stroke techniques, and finishes," said Holland Coach Tonya Book.
