WOODTV Football Frenzy Food Drive

The Football Frenzy Team will visit Holland High on Friday, September 22 - the day of our Hispanic Heritage Month Football game!

As a part of their visit, HPS students from all buildings are being asked to participate in a Food Drive to benefit Feeding America!

  • Every student who donates 5 items will get a FREE ticket to the football game (K-8 students will also receive a ticket for an adult.)

Drop off your donations in your building's office!

Parent/Family Nights are designed to engage and educate families about ways to support and advocate for their children at Holland Public Schools.

Don’t Risk a Gap in Your Medicaid or CHIP Coverage: Get Ready to Renew Now.

In March 2020, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) temporarily waived certain Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) requirements and conditions due to the Public Health Emergency (PHE) Declaration. The easing of these rules helped prevent people with Medicaid and CHIP from losing their health coverage during the pandemic. The PHE will end 5/11/23 and families will need to go through Medicaid redetermination to retain the benefit.

Food Truck Tuesday

Each Tuesday from May 16th until August 29th the Midtown Center will have one food truck parked in its parking lot for members of the community to come purchase food and enjoy. We will have a rotation of 5 different food trucks throughout the Summer, and will also have seating available for people in our lovely Prince Park located directly next to the building.

Hope Women's Basketball Camps

The Hope Women's Basketball offers a variety of camps for girl's of all ages - grades 3-12! Individual Camp is the week of July 17th this summer!

Holland Public Schools is looking for community input to help determine a winner of the district’s 1st Annual District-wide Power H IMPACT Award. Six finalists, one staff member from each building, were selected from among the hundreds of nominations from students, staff and families. Celebrate National School Breakfast Week with special menus each morning to BUILD a great FOUNDATION for your day! 

Our goal for the week is to promote school breakfast as a nutritious & healthy way for students to build their day and increase the student participation! The average number of students served, district wide, is 688 students per day. We'd love to serve more students, especially since breakfast is free for all students!

Immediate Pre-K Opening at HPS Great Start Readiness Program

GSRP is FREE for families who qualify. We have immediate Openings at

  • Jefferson Pre-K
  • West Pre-K
  • Natured-based Holland Heights Pre-K

Full-day classes are offered Monday through Thursday at each of HPS' K-5 buildings with a variety of family needs in mind.  GSRP is a state-funded preschool program serving children who turned 4 by December 1, 2022.

The Power H shop is a store that opens one night each month.  It allows HPS families to come and shop for clothing, school supplies, and household items - FREE of charge! All the items are donated by area agencies and organization - and families just like yours! But, our inventory is running low!

Teachers Live Here will provide $25,000 in down payment assistance to Holland Public Schools teachers. An anonymous donor in the City of Holland will help HPS retain and recruit the best educators to the district.
