Notification of Vacancy on Board of Education
Due to the early announcement of term expiration, the Holland Public Schools Board of Education is seeking a candidate to fill the board seat of Mike McKay. The newly appointed Trustee will serve from the date of appointment, anticipated to be July 1, 2022, through the certification of the general election on November 8, 2022.

HMS Advanced STEM student build/sell benches.
Middle School Students to sell benches to benefit Ukrainian refugees. Watch their story that aired on Fox-17 this week.
Love & Lean Walk/Run for Mental Health
Join in supporting the 6th annual Love & Lean walk/run taking place April 23. This year includes a 5K run, 5K walk, and 1 mile walk option. Funds raised will benefit the Mental Health Foundation of West Michigan and will be used for continuing education related to mental health awareness and suicide prevention.

2022 Virtual Art Contest - Zeeland Community Hospital
Spectrum Health Zeeland Community Hospital is inviting students in 3rd through 8th grade who live in Allegan or Ottawa County to participate in a virtual art contest. Students are invited to submit a piece of artwork created at home or in school. We are looking for art that will inspire and bring joy to the entire Zeeland Community Hospital patient community from children to adults.

During Black History Month, students will hear the Untold Stories of African American historical figures you may not have heard about - but who contributed to this nation's history.
Three from Holland High Nominated for Youth of the Year.
Jaquelin Romero, Jamila Qurban Ali, and Luis Vasques among 6 area students nominated for the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Holland Youth of the Year Award.
The winner will be announced Tuesday, Feb. 8, at 6:30 at Fellowship Church in Holland. The event will be streamed on the club’s website.

CultureWorks Transformative Art + Design Academy is a Holland, MI-based, faith inspired nonprofit offering culturally relevant, transformative art and design experiences to youth from all backgrounds.
