  • 6th: Ayvah Kelly-She has completed her reading tasks and has exemplified the DUTCH expectations to help us finish the year strong!

  • 8th: Braden Trevino- Braden has shown lots of improvement this year. His attitude has improved as well as his work ethic. It is nice to see him smile!

 

NOTE FROM THE NURSE

End of the year medication pick-up: If your child receives medication at school, please remember to pick it up on or before the last day. Medications cannot be sent home with a student per school policy. All medications not picked up by June 7th will be disposed of, as we are unable to keep any medication in the school building over the summer. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the school nurse at 616-494-2414 or at ebyl@hollandpublicschools.org. Have a wonderful summer!

 

CLUBS AND SPORTS

 

Track and Field

 

Last night the girls track team competed in the West Michigan regional middle school meet.  The girls were led by Lexi Gibson with a 5th place finish in the 2 mile race and the 4 by 200 relay team of Saniya Harshaw, Ryleigh Luna, Jaylene Martinez and Isabella Rondon placing 6th.  The girls placed 19th overall.

 

Last night the boys track team competed at the West Michigan regional meet and came away with the Regional Championship first place trophy over 33 other teams. 

  • Placing 4th was the 4 by 100 relay team of Jovany Curillo, Andi Andrade, Tray Knox and Yann Gutierrez, and Aiden Lambers in the 2 mile run.
  • Placing third was Braden Trevino in the shot put , Andres Lopez in the 55 meter hurdles, and the 4 by 800 relay team of Aiden Lambers, Grayden Prince, Simeon Carter, and Josue Bovadilla.
  • Placing 2nd was Tray Knox in the 200 meter dash
  • Finn Galloway in the 400 and 800 meter run
  • Winning the 4 x 200 relay and coming away with the Third Top state time for the year was Tray Knox, Andy Andrade, Finn Galloway and Yann Gutierrez.
