8TH GRADERS

8th Graders please check your email for information about an election for Student Senate at HHS.  We will be holding an election to determine the positions.  There are six spots available to represent your class on the student senate.  If you are interested in running for one of these positions, you need to email or talk to Mrs. Legg by this Friday April, 26.

NOTE FROM THE NURSE

Have you heard of the term “sleep hygiene” before? Good sleep hygiene is all about putting yourself in the best position to sleep well each and every night. Set a regular bedtime and start a nightly routine to wind down, including avoiding screens 30-60 minutes before bed and dimming your lights. Doing whatever puts you in a state of calm such as listening to soft music, light stretching, reading, or relaxation exercises also might be helpful. CLUBS AND SPORTS

SOCCER

In Thursday action at the Holland High School turf field, the combined 7th and 8th grade soccer teams mercied the Lady Bucs from Grand Haven by the score of 9-1! The game was outstanding for both the 7th and 8th grade teams as they overcame playing together for the first time and they really showed improvement during the entire game. Both coaches were very proud of their effort and sportsmanship even when things became chippy in the second half. Goals were scored by Bella Campos (3-hat trick!), Liz Alvarez (2), Ariana Sosa-Hernandez (2), and Myla Martinez(2). Congratulations on an outstanding team win and thank you for meeting our DUTCH expectations.
