Deaf and Hard of Hearing

The Holland Deaf and Hard of Hearing program strives to be continually recognized in the DHH community as one of the best programs in the area for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students.

We provide quality instruction from preschool through 12th grade in all communication modalities including American Sign Language and Listening and Spoken Language. Students within our program benefit from the instruction and support our diverse team of DHH teachers, interpreters, language interventionists, language interveners, Deaf language models, a signing Speech and Language pathologist and an audiologist.

As a program, we are able to adapt to each DHH child and their unique needs by providing a language rich environment in the least restrictive setting while allowing students a full educational experience both in the classroom and through all the extracurricular activities the school offers.  In addition, the DHH program at Holland Public School provides the DHH students opportunities to interact with each other and other DHH individuals to help develop their sense of identity within the community and maintain positive social and emotional health.
