- You'll receive notifications from the school (e.g. snow days), and from the classes, teams, parent groups, etc. that you subscribe to.
- The app works wherever you go - on iPhone, iPad, Android phones and tablets.
- You can receive notifications on your Chromebook or using a computer's web browser.
Get started with the “Holland Public Schools” App! Either search for “Holland Public Schools” in the App Store, or use this link.
If you don't have a smartphone, sign up for text messages and/or email notifications.
FREQUESNTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Do I need to sign in?
You need to sign in to make full use of the app. You can access district information in the app without signing in, but you will not be able to subscribe to schools or other groups.
Other benefits:
- Certain features (if they are available in your app) require sign in, such as Quick Share and Hall Pass.
- You can opt-in to email or SMS text notifications.
- School staff could contact you individually via the app.
- If you have more than one device, sign in with the same account from each, and you'll automatically be subscribed to the same schools and groups.
- If you uninstall the app, and then reinstall (on the same device or a new one), your information will be retained.
How can I change my password?
Sign out, and then tap "Set New Password" on the Sign In screen. Or follow this link: https://hollandpublicschools.appazur.com/reg/resetpwd.
How can I share an event on social media?
Open the event from the calendar screen. At the bottom of the event details screen, tap Share. You will then have options to share the event, via message or social media, depending on what other apps you have installed.
How can I unsubscribe?
The Schools and Groups tabs list the schools and groups that you've subscribed to, and you'll receive notifications for them. If you've added schools or groups that you're no longer interested in, tap the "gear" button at the top of the screen.
Tap the toggle on the appropriate row to unsubscribe or subscribe. Your changes take effect immediately. Tap the back arrow when done.
You can also unsubscribe from the Schools and Groups tabs of the app web page at: https://hollandpublicschools.appazur.com
To unsubscribe from all email notifications, click the Unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email and follow the instructions that appear.
To unsubscribe from all SMS text message notifications, reply STOP.
Why am I not getting notifications on my device?
Are you not receiving new notifications on your device?
When you installed the app, you were prompted for permission to show notifications. To grant this permission later, tap the Settings (user/gear) icon on the Home tab, then tap Push Notifications. If you then see a prompt (OK / Maybe Later / Don't Ask Again), tap OK. If the Push Notifications link takes you to a permissions screen, tap Notifications, and ensure Allow Notifications is toggled on.
If you do not have an iOS or Android device, sign up and choose text message (SMS) or email notifications.
What is the Access Code?
The Holland Public Schools app does not have an access code. This is an optional feature used by other Appazur apps.
Why can't I enable SMS text messages?
SMS text messages are intended for users who do not have smartphones. You can set this option if you are using a tablet, iPad, Chromebook or desktop web browser. This option is not applicable to iOS and Android phones.
Why are there no classes listed?
Classes are not a feature of this app.
Why is information missing in the app?
Are you not seeing news and calendars for all the schools you're interested in? When you first install the app, you are only subscribed to general information. You must go to the "Schools" screen and tap "+" to add the schools that you are interested in.
Why did emails stop after installing the app?
If your school was sending you email notifications before you signed in to the app, you may stop receiving those emails now that you can receive push notifications.
In that case, if you wish to continue receiving notifications by email as well, you can enable that in the app.
From the Home screen, tap the User Settings icon (just to the right of your name). Then, tap Account & Notifications. Tap to see the options under Email Notifications, and choose Yes or one of the other options. Then tap Save Changes.
Will the app work on my older phone/tablet?
The iOS app requires iOS 13.4 or higher. The Android app works on phones and tablets with Android 5.0 or higher.
