POWER H Store
The Power H shop is a store that opens one night each month. It allows HPS families to come and shop for clothing, school supplies, and household items - FREE of charge! All the items are donated by area agencies and organization - and families just like yours! But, our inventory is running low!
In February, instead of allowing families to come and shop, we're asking you to come and give!

Also represening HHS were Jaslyn Campos, who qualified in Broadcasting, and Kimia McMullen who qualified in Storytelling.
These students are some of the most talented public speakers in the state of Michigan.
As we prepare for the start of the next school year, it's time to register your student for 2026-27. This is something we ask ALL current HPS families to do EVERY year. Completing the registration lets us know:
- Your student(s) will be returning next year!
- Your household contact information is up to date
- Your student health information is up to date
- if you are requesting transportation for the 2026-2027 school year (Deadline to request bussing is August 1.)
Without this information, your student can not be added to a class list for next year OR have a class schedule created for them.
Congratulations to the members of the 7th and 8th Grade Choirs on participating in MSVMA Solo and Ensemble Contest on Saturday, April 25. There were a record number of performers this year: 35 total! There were 12 vocal soloists and two large ensembles earning a total of ten Division 1 Superior ratings and two Division 2 Excellent ratings!
Holland Police Department is hosting a Junior Police Academy for 7th and 8th grade students.

Holland voters will see a Sinking Fund Proposal on the May 5 ballot. In addition to supporting ongoing facility repairs and improvements, the updated language in the proposal would allow the district to use these funds for transportation and maintenance vehicles. Proposal Highlights:
- No increase in the current millage rate (1.25) over the next 10 years
- Estimated revenue is approximately $2,540,000
- Expanded language will allow funding for transportation and maintenance of vehicles
- Helps maintain and protect voter-approved bond investments
- Reduces strain on the general operating budget
