Good attendance gives you the best chance for success!
Good Attendance: This means being in school at least 97% of the time OR missing no more than 5-6 days in a school year.
Not Great Attendance: We get concerned when your attendance falls below 95%.
- Missing 1 day/month = 10 absences/year = 94% attendance
- Missing 1 day/2 wks = 20 absences/year = 88% attendance
Seriously Worried: Very poor attendance has a serious impact on your education and reduces your life choices.
- Missing 1 day/wk = 40 absences/year = 77% attendance
- Missing 2 day/wk = 80 absences/year = 55% attendance
When you attend school, you:
- can achieve your full potential
- have better career prospects
- learn to look after yourself & be healthy
- grow in confidence
- keep up with work and homework
- make new friends

Jacobusse teaches art at Holland Heights and West Elementary.
Mr. Cal has been volunteering at HPS since 2000. First at Longfellow and then at Jefferson. He works in our Books and Games program and runs a chess club with students.

- Friday 9/25 7pm | Holland v. Calvin Christian, Halftime performance by HHS Marching Band, and crowning of the Homecoming Royalty
- Saturday 9/26 8-11pm | HOCO Dance for HHS Students in the Commons
