Students celebrate together at the HOCO assembly

Great things are always happening at Holland High!  Check out our photos on Smugmug.  Continue reading this news story for our fall family survey results, advice on how to easily monitor and support your student’s academic progress, and attendance data & an update.

SURVEY RESULTS:  We had 42 Parent/Guardian Responses to our fall survey.  We appreciate and value your feedback!  The attachment above is a graph of the results by category.  Our staff is reviewing each question that scored low as we aim to continue improving our school.  Stay tuned for quick opportunities on Remind to provide ongoing feedback.

SEMESTER PROGRESS:  This Monday marked the halfway point of our first semester.  There are now fewer than 40 days remaining leading up to exams in December.  The best way to monitor your student's progress is with Infinite Campus Parent Portal.  Even better, the Campus Parent app on your phone provides the easiest way for instant access and notifications to grades, missing assignments, and attendance.  Watch the linked video (English or Spanish version) for a 1-minute overview and download the app today!  (Apple or Google Play)  Need assistance?  Contact HHS at 494-2200.  You may also contact your children’s teachers via email or Remind.

ATTENDANCE:  Through the first 40 days of school, 838 students have been present at school all but 4 or fewer days (over 85% of HHS students!).  Thank you for your efforts at home to ensure positive attendance, as this is the number one indicator of success at school.  Lastly, we just reactivated our attendance auto-calls that notify you if your child is tardy or absent.  Contact us with questions or to report absences.
