Holland High is excited to welcome students back for the 2025-2026 school year!

Open House: We look forward to welcoming you to Holland High School on Tuesday, August 19, from 4-6pm. This time is designated for students and families to visit the building, walk their schedules and meet their teachers. Following the Open House, there will be a brief Early College parent meeting for 11th grade students from 6:00–6:30 PM in the Book Nook/Media Center.
First Day of School: Thursday, August 21 (7:45 AM- 2:55 PM). Doors open at 7:05am for breakfast in The Commons (FREE for all students). Classes begin at 7:45am. Note, CTC (Careerline Tech Center) students & HEC students with DU (Davenport University) classes students should arrive in time for Advisory (10:05am). CTC begins on August 25. DU classes begin on September 2.
Education Benefit Form: Every family is required to complete the Education Benefit Form, which helps to provide critical funding for the entire District. Thank you for taking care of this before school starts!
Class Schedules: Students will have access to view their schedules in Infinite Campus on Monday, August 18. Fill out this Google Form if you desire a change to your current class schedule. A counselor will review this request and then do one of the following: 1. Make the change and notify you via email; 2. Set up a meeting with you regarding the change; 3. Notify you that the change cannot work in your schedule. Check your email regularly to stay tuned for this communication.
School Supplies: Supplies may vary based on the courses students are taking. Teachers will communicate any course requirements during the first week of school. It’s recommended that students bring the following supplies- backpack, pens & pencils, highlighters, paper, notebooks, and pocket folders for each class. An agenda or planner is very helpful to help students stay organized and manage assignments.
Chromebooks: Students will receive Chromebooks on August 21 (Day 1) during Advisory. If you did not turn in your Chromebook and/or charger last year, please bring it with you.
School Pictures: Picture Day will take place during the school day on Friday, August 22 (Day 2). Pictures will take place during English classes. Order forms have been mailed home, and they will also be available on picture day.
Free Meals for Students: All students at HPS will be able to eat breakfast and lunch at NO-COST to them for the 2025-26 school year. Please note that milk-only purchases and à la carte items must be paid for at the time of purchase with cash or funds in their account. For any food service-related questions, call 616-494-2245.

The Dutch Football season opens on Thursday v. GR Union at Hope College. This week, we're talking with Seniors Tanner Kingery and Xavier Murphy about their goals for this football season.
Holland Hospital invites all students, families, friends and faculty to join us for the annual School Nurse Fun Run on Thursday, September 11 at Holland High School.
As Holland High School prepares to host the last home football game of the season, here is a reminder about some of the rules and expectations for students and families who attend the game:
- Middle school age and younger MUST be an accompanied by an adult.
- No student backpacks.
- No re-entry for any spectators.
- All school rules apply to events held at Hope College.
- The stadium and parking lot is a drug free school zone which includes any vape products.
- HHS Students with 5Star App will be admitted for FREE.
- HMS Students with an athletics pass will be admitted for FREE.
Holland will host Ottawa Hills at the Hope College Stadium, Thursday at 7pm. #GoDutch

Completing the Education Benefits Form is a key step to unlocking essential support for all HPS students. Federal & state resources are allocated based on the income data collected through this form. Without this data the district could lose out on critical funding.
