Pick a Date to Donate: Help Us Finish Strong!

We are in the final days of our fundraiser, and every donation makes a difference! There are two ways to donate:

  • Cash

  • Check payable to Holland Public Schools
Memo line: Holland Language Academy – Pick a Date to Donate

Thank you for your generosity and support of our students and school. Let’s finish strong!

Parent-Teacher Conferences

Conferences continue this week! We look forward to celebrating your child’s growth, hearing your perspective, and discussing next steps together.

Please contact your child’s teacher if you still need to schedule or confirm your conference time. Thank you for partnering with us to support your child’s learning!

Southside Boys & Girls Club: Schedule & Transportation

Please plan ahead for these changes during the week of October 19–23:

  • Monday–Wednesday, October 19–21: Regular Club hours and transportation.

  • Thursday, October 22: Regular Club hours—elementary members 3:15–6:30 PM; juniors and teens 2:50–7:00 PM. Because HPS elementary schools have a half day, there will be no transportation from HPS elementary schools. Transportation will still be provided from Black River and Holland Middle School.

  • Friday, October 23: Southside will be open 9:00 AM–3:00 PM, with no transportation provided.

Please contact the Southside BG Team with any questions.

Tienda PODER: Celebrating Positive Choices!

Students earn Boletos PODER for modeling exemplary behaviors throughout the school day, including showing kindness, helping others, following directions, and demonstrating respect and responsibility.

Once per month, students visit our Tienda PODER to spend their earned boletos! They can purchase something they’ve had their eye on or save for a bigger prize while practicing counting, making choices, and working toward a goal.

Ask your child: “What are you excited to purchase at Tienda PODER?” and “What positive choices are helping you earn boletos?”

Thank you for celebrating their efforts and reinforcing these habits at home!

Celebrating Maestra Denia Rodriguez!

We are excited to celebrate our very own Maestra Denia Rodriguez, who was recognized as WZZM 13’s Teacher of the Week! What a wonderful honor and an opportunity to highlight the care, dedication, and joy she brings to her second-grade classroom at HLA.

Thank you, Maestra Denia, for the heart you put into teaching and supporting our students. We are proud to celebrate with you!

Watch her interview using this link, and enjoy pictures from this special celebration!
