January News #2
Dear West Families,
West students have entered 2026 with POWER! Our first week back was spent reviewing POWER expectations for each area of the school building. POWER is the acronym we use to teach about school wide expectations. POWER stands for P- Pride, O- Own your Actions, W- Wise Choices, E- Engaged, and R- Respect. This week we will continue to review school wide expectations. Support us at home by asking your student what POWER stands for!
This week, students are participating in NWEA testing. These assessments help us understand your student’s growth and plan instruction to best meet their needs. To help your student do their very best, please make sure they get a good night’s sleep, eat a healthy breakfast, and arrive at school on time each day.
It’s already time to think about next year!
