Online Safety Tips
Holland Police School Resource Officer Nic Wedeven shared some Online Safety Tips for parents during our recent Thrive Together event.
It’s never too early to start talking to children and teens about the risks they face online and continue talking about them at every age. Continuous discussions and reminders are key to safe online habits.
Here are a few quick tips for online safety:
- Turn in phones to parents at night, set a time.
- Monitor online activity.
- Keep social media accounts private.
- Talk to kids about how to report suspicious activity.
