October 19–23

It's National School Bus Safety Week

Holland Public Schools is joining communities across Michigan, October 19-23, in raising awareness about keeping students safe on the road. Together, we can make a difference.

  • When the REDS are flashing, there’s no passing!

Let’s work together to keep all Holland students safe.

School bus safety is everyone’s responsibility. Motorists should slow down, stay alert, and watch for children near bus stops.

  • When a school bus’ red lights are flashing, drivers must stop and never pass a stopped school bus.

A few seconds of patience could save a child’s life.

This week is also an opportunity to recognize and thank our dedicated school bus drivers and transportation team. Their hard work and commitment help ensure students get to and from school safely every day.

  • Take a moment to thank your student's bus driver this week!
