Quiz Bowl is Back!
Holland High Quiz Bowl hosts its 15th Annual-ish Fall Invitational.
16 varsity and 6 JV teams attended from all over Michigan, and Holland High showed well. In the Varsity bracket, the Holland team of Trent Burgess, Andrew Lubbers, Josh Munguia, and Alyssa Price went 4-2 in the morning, with their only losses to tournament champion Chelsea. In the afternoon, they went 3-0 in their bracket, which qualifies them for the state tournament this spring. In the JV bracket, the all-freshmen team of Adam Alderson, Ben Fletter, Lucy Green, and Eleanor McMullen went 5-4 on the day to finish 3rd overall. The Dutch Nerd Army (DNA) will be in action next on Saturday, Dec. 4 in Berrien Springs. Way to go!
