Holland Theatre Awarded at MIFA Competition

HHS virtual production of "Antigone Now" earns 2nd Place at state competition.

The Holland High Theatre Department earned 2nd Place in the Drama Division of the Michigan International Forensics Association Theatre Competition for their "virtual" production of ANTIGONE NOW. The entire production was filmed and recorded via zoom.

"I am so proud of the kids for this huge undertaking.  We put it together in a very short amount of time and they were very dedicated.  Their dedication paid off in the end!" - Mrs. Delynne Miller, Director

ANTIGONE NOW: In the midst of a bombed-out city still feeling the aftershocks of war, the rebellious and intense Antigone defies her uncle to bury her disgraced brother. This contemporary response to the myth of Antigone brings powerful, modern prose to an ancient and universal story.
