Sam Huizinga Among Top 4% of Students Nationwide
Congratulations to Sam Huizinga (HHS Class of 2027) for being named a Commended Student in the National Merit Scholarship Program!
- Sam’s performance on the PSAT/NMSQT placed him among the top 50,000 students nationwide—roughly the top 4%.
This recognition reflects Sam’s academic ability, dedication, and hard work. HPS is incredibly proud of him and grateful to have him represent Holland High School so positively.
"Those being named Commended Students have demonstrated outstanding potential for academic success. These students represent a valuable national resource; recognizing their accomplishments, as well as the key role their schools play in their academic development, is vital to the advancement of educational excellence in our nation. Although he will not advance as one of the 16,000 Semifinalists, being named a Commended Student is a significant national academic distinction and an achievement worthy of celebration.
