9.6.20 HPS Alumni Update
Four HPS graduates thrive in the GVSU Music Department.
Congratulations to Joshua DeVries (trombone/euphonium), Benjamin Carter (clarinet), and Conrad Cassar (clarinet).
These three 2020 graduates of the HHS Band Program, who are majoring in Music at GVSU, all auditioned and were accepted into the top band ensemble, the Wind Symphony. This is a huge deal, as typically first year students (and certainly first semester students) do not often make it into a top ensemble at their college/university.
In addition, HHS alum Jennifer Soles (clarinet) who graduated in 2016, also made it into the GVSU Wind Symphony and is about to graduate with a Bachelor of Music in Clarinet Performance. Jennifer is planning to pursue a Masters Degree in Clarinet Performance after graduation.
