Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration
Your students are learning Spanish, and this is a wonderful opportunity for your whole family to experience and celebrate the cultures connected to the language!
Join our community and district for the Hispanic Heritage Month Community Celebration at the varsity football game on Friday, September 18, at 7:00 p.m. at Hope College Stadium. Enjoy a Parade of Flags, food trucks, face painting, a balloon artist, and halftime fun. We hope to see you there!

Sunday 9/20 -5pm | Dave Zessin Family and Friends Football Night featuring an Alumni Flag Football Game and the HHS Powder Puff game (Junior Girls v Senior Girls) dinner will be available for purchase with local food trucks, at the Holland High Soccer Field
Monday - Friday | Spirit Week at each HPS School building
Friday 9/25 6pm | Homecoming Parade from Centennial Park to Hope College Stadium, featuring HHS Marching Band, Students from Elementary Buildings, Community Partners, and Student Organizations
Friday 9/25 7pm | Holland v. Calvin Christian, Halftime performance by HHS Marching Band, and crowning of the Homecoming Royalty
Popcorn Fridays Are Back!
Once a month, our students will enjoy Popcorn Friday! We need volunteers to help prepare and bag the popcorn. Please use this link to sign up and help us continue this fun HLA tradition.

Third Annual STEM Night—Sponsored by Gentex
Join us for an exciting evening of science, technology, engineering, and math on Thursday, September 24, from 5:00–7:00 p.m. at Holland Public Schools, 320 West 24th Street.
Bring the entire family to explore, create, and discover through fun STEM activities! Come hungry, dinner will be available for purchase from local food trucks. We are grateful to Gentex for sponsoring this special community event. We hope to see our HLA families there!
Wheelie-Scary Community Ride
Get ready to pedal into some spooky fun with Velo Kids’ annual (not so) Wheelie Scary Ride! Whether you're a two-wheeling pro or just riding along, this is one Fall event everyone in the family can enjoy. There will be live music, food trucks, and lots of biking fun!
When: Saturday, Oct 10 • 4:00–6:00 PM
Where: Cooper VanWieren Trail
Who: Everyone! Kids, parents, grandparents - bring the whole crew.
