Hello Families,

Welcome to the Tulip Time edition of The Red Note! Please read the information below carefully to stay informed about what to expect this week, especially with the parade taking place on Thursday.

Five-Year Facility Plan- Public Meeting - Next week Monday 

HLA families, this directly impacts us, please plan to attend. 

HPS, Families and members of the Holland Community will have one more chance to give input on the district’s five-year facility plan on Monday, May 12, 3:45pm at Holland Language Academy. 

Superintendent Cassidy will discuss: 

  • Phase 1 of the Plan (Redistricting K-5 buildings)

  • Phase 2 of the Plan (Building Renovations, Facility Construction, and Use of Existing Facilities)

  • Results of Community Survey 

Choir concert- Thursday, May 15  

At Holland High School’s Performing Arts Center 

3rd: Arrive at 5:40, Perform from 6:00 - 6:25

4th: Arrive at 6:10, perform from 6:35 - 7:00

5th: Arrive at 6:45, perform from 7:05 - 7:30

Field Day 

We need many volunteers to make our Field Day tradition a continued success. Please complete this form as soon as possible as this information will help us plan accordingly. 

Tulip Time – Important Information

  • We will dismiss at 11:21 AM for a half day of school.

  • There will be no Boys and Girls Club programming that afternoon.

  • Students participating in the parade should return to their school building by 1:00 PM, dressed in their costume, to ride the bus with their classmates to the start of the parade. The bus will leave promptly at 1:15 PM.

  • After the parade (around 3:00 PM), please pick up your child at the Kollen Park Band Shell no later than 3:20 PM.

Choir concert for 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students at Holland High School’s Performing Arts Center.

  • Talent Show, Friday,  May 2 (during the school day)

  • Fifth Grade Graduation, Thursday May 22, 6:00-7:00 pm

  • Field day, Monday, June 2 (during the school day)
