September is FULL of fun at Jefferson!!!

Welcome September!!!

What a great start to the school year! Thanks to everyone who came out on the first day for Donuts at Dawn! We loved seeing all the families excited to start a new school year. A lot is going on around the district in September, so please put the following dates on your calendar, and let’s represent Jefferson!

Picture Day | Friday, September 11

  • Order forms are coming home on Tuesday 

  • Please send them back to school with your student on picture day, regardless of whether you are buying photos

K-5 Night at Holland Football | Friday, September 11 at 7 pm at the Hope College Stadium

  • Elementary students from around the district are invited to attend the Varsity Football game with their families. Enjoy the game and get a chance to run the field with their friends. 

Hispanic Heritage Month Community Celebration | Friday, September 18 at 7 pm at the Hope College Stadium

  •  Celebrate Hispanic Heritage in our community and district at the Varsity Football game.   Parade of Flags, Food Trucks, Halftime fun.

Homecoming 2026 | September 20-26  

  • Sunday 9/20 5 pm | Dave Zessin Family and Friends Football Night  featuring an Alumni Flag Football Game and the HHS Powder Puff game (Junior Girls v Senior Girls) at the Holland High Soccer Field

  • Monday - Friday | Spirit Week (flyer will come home with daily themes)

  • Friday 9/25 6 pm | Homecoming Parade from Centennial Park to Hope College Stadium, featuring HHS Marching Band, Students from Elementary Buildings, Community Partners, and Student Organizations

  • Friday 9/25 7 pm | Holland v. Calvin Christian, Halftime performance by HHS Marching Band, and crowning of the Homecoming Royalty

STEM Night | Thursday, September 24, 5- 7 pm at the Holland High Commons 

  • Check out all the cool STEM demonstrations from local partners and compete in the district-wide Paper Airplane Contest. First place wins $100, second $75, and third $50. FREE. Sponsored by GENTEX.

2026 School Nurse Fun Run | Thursday, October 1 at 6 pm at Kollen Park
