Daily Announcements

As we head into the final days of school, just a friendly reminder: Chromebooks need to be turned in at the end of each day. If you added stickers (even though you weren’t supposed to), now’s the time to peel them off! Let’s take care of our devices—students may be responsible for any that are lost or damaged. Let’s finish the year strong!

6th and 7th grade- all will eat in the cafeteria today and we will stay in the cafeteria for recess.  It is anticipated to rain and have thunderstorms this am.  It should clear up for the late  afternoon.

7th & 8th grade art students you may pick up your artwork from the art show outside of Mrs. Fickle and Miss Conley’s classroom.

Please announce all week-

Attention 8th grade students… Are you nervous about the idea of heading to high school and all of the class work next year?  Good news… there is a program that can help.  The UPWARD Bound program still  has some room available for next year.  However, the applications need to be turned in ASAP.  See Mrs. Legg if you would like to participate.  She can help with the application.  Also, there are lots of you who have completed a portion of the application… it is not too late to finish it!  See Mrs. Legg for help!

8th grade farewell

The Sneakerball is, THIS Friday, May 30, 7-9pm. 

Football Meeting

For 6th and 7th grade students who are interested in playing football next year at HMS, there is a meeting today during lunch in the media center. 7th graders will eat during the first lunch and then meet with coaches from 10:30-10:50am. 6th graders will meet with the coaches from 10:53-11:13am and then head to lunch afterwards.

Boys Basketball Meeting

For all 8th grade boys who are interested in playing basketball next year at the high school, there will be a brief meeting on Friday, May 30, to go over the summer program. Be sure to attend!

100 Mile Club

Attention 100 Mile Club members, today is the very last day to submit your miles! Please make sure you add all your miles to the google form in order to get your prizes, pizza party and gold medal next week!

PBIS Updates

The Extra Recess PBIS event is THIS Friday and if you haven’t already, for 30 points, you can still buy into it until the end of the day TODAY! Mrs. Ashby will be handing out passes for your extra recess so you can have a little extra fun on Friday! 

6th grade student council- we will meet FRIDAY during advisory for our last paper gator of the year.  We will have our last meeting next week.  As a homework assignment, please make a list of special projects or items you want the student council to accomplish next year.  We will discuss next week Tuesday!
