Black History Month 2024

Holland Public Schools joins the nation in commemorating Black History Month.

This annual observance is a time for us to honor the invaluable contributions, resilience, and achievements of Black individuals throughout history.
Black History Month is not only a celebration of the remarkable accomplishments of Black leaders, inventors, artists, activists, and pioneers but also an opportunity for reflection and education. It serves as a reminder of the profound impact that Black history has had and continues to have on our society.
During this month and throughout the year, Holland Public Schools reaffirms its commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within our schools and communities. We recognize the importance of fostering an environment where all students feel valued, represented, and empowered to succeed.
As we honor Black History Month, let us not only celebrate the achievements of the past but also commit ourselves to building a more inclusive and equitable future. Together, we can strive towards creating a society where every individual is respected, celebrated, and given the opportunity to thrive.
