Backpack Lights
Community Policing Officer Rod Mendoza gives students backpack reflectors.
HPS and HDPS are making students more visible to drivers.
As we continue to focus on student safety, we are partnering with the Holland Department of Public Safety to handout light-up reflective devices to help increase the visibility of students walking to school or a bus stop. These reflectors can be attached to either a backpack or jackets. The devices were purchased with the funds available through the school safety grants.
If your student wants/needs one of these backpack lights, let your building secretary or community policing officer know - they'll be happy to get you one.
