HHS News (Grades, Homecoming, & More)

There are many celebrations so far this school year! Check out Smugmug or our Web Stories to look back. Also, visit the Daily Bulletin for regular student spotlights and info.
As we enter October, thank you for reviewing the following important school information:
ACADEMIC INFO
- Progress Report grades were posted Friday (9/29) and can be viewed on Infinite Campus Parent Portal. Thank you for checking your child’s GPA (Grade Point Average) and Credits (22 to graduate).
- All parents are invited and encouraged to attend one of our 3 Parent Teacher Conference dates, starting this Thursday (10/5). Come in to meet with any of your child’s teachers.
- After School Tutoring is available starting this week. Tutoring support in The Book Nook will be available every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.
HOMECOMING WEEK: This week is Homecoming Week! Students look forward to celebrating together and showing school spirit. Here is a quick overview of the highlights for the week:
- Sunday (10/1)
- 11am Beach Clean Up sponsored by our HHS SHORE Club (Students Helping Our Remarkable Earth)
- 7pm Powderpuff Football Game
- Monday through Friday = Spirit Dress Up Days
- Friday (10/6)
- Homecoming Assembly at School
- Homecoming Football Game (Parade before the game, and Homecoming Court at halftime)
- Saturday (10/7) = Homecoming Dance
- Tickets must be purchased in advance, by 3pm Friday
- Guest passes must be turned in by Wednesday at 2pm
- HHS’ Free Formal Wear Dress Shop will be open this week at school
3 MORE IMPORTANT NOTES
- Count Day is Wednesday (10/4). Please ensure your child is on time to school and attends all classes. If they cannot, please call school (616-494-2200) to communicate an absence.
- We continue to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. This week, there are 2 movie options on Wednesday. First, Selena will be shown in the Performing Arts Center at Holland High. Second, the documentary First Voice Generation is showing at the Knickerbocker in downtown Holland.
- A new Mental Health Skill Building Group is starting at HHS. If your child is interested, open the attachment above and contact either of the group leaders.
