Drop off and pick up reminders:
Drop Off - Just a quick reminder that we do not have supervision outside of the school until 8:15 a.m. Students are allowed to enter the building at 8:00 a.m. for breakfast then report directly to the cafeteria. Students will be required to be in their class line by 8:30 a.m. unless they have prior permission to go early to their teacher's classroom.
Pick Up - During pick-up please do not park on the curb and get out of your car! If you need to get out of your car and pick up your student, please use the parking lot on the east or west side of the school. All students and adults should use the crosswalk with the student crossing guard when crossing the drive.

Peer to Peer Bowling night was a huge success! Thank you to all Staff, students and families that participated. Please see the pictures on our Smugmug !
Boys and Girls Club!
The Southside Boys and Girls Club will now be offering transportation from West Elementary to the Club after school for a limited number of students. To register your child at the Boys and Girls Club go to: www.bgch.org/members . Once your child is registered, please call (616) 392-4102 to ensure transportation. (Your child will not be able to take transportation unless this specific arrangement has been made). This is such an amazing opportunity for your child - don't hesitate and sign up today!

Spring Music Concert for 1st 3rd (2/3 Grade) and 5th Grade. Wednesday May 3rd at 6:00PM at the Holland High School Performing Arts Center.

Hello West Families,
Thank you for supporting our recent book fair! We were able to donate more than $1,500 in books to the library, classrooms, and the read-at-home room. This wouldn’t be possible without everyone’s support.
March Read-A-Thon is in full swing through March 24. Thank you to everyone who created accounts to track minutes and donations! Students who log 100 minutes will receive a free activity pass to Craig’s Cruisers and a ticket to our raffle. Students can earn extra prizes by sending emails or texts. We will have individual winners, classroom winners and the chance at being the top school in the district for total minutes read. FREE popcorn Friday will return March 17. If you would like to send money with your child that day, we will be collecting to continue the free program (including staff) through the end of the year. Cash or checks made out to “Holland West PTO” are accepted.

The M-Step Schedule For Your Child Is Below. The Tests Will Start At 9:00am On These Dates. Please Be On Time Each Day And Remember Not To Schedule Appointments On These Days. Most Tests Take At Least The Morning.
