Welcome to the theatre! We’re so excited to have you here with us for our performance of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. The cast and crew have worked incredibly hard on this production, and it really shows. They’ve created something that they can truly be proud of.
Spelling Bee is a comedy, yes. The stage is full of passionate, silly, weird, awkward pre-teen characters who are laugh-out-loud funny. It’s not just a comedy, though. This show has a whole lot of heart. Spelling Bee is about the joys and challenges of growing up. It’s messy. It’s beautiful. It’s generally pure chaos. And it’s also beautiful. In the end, these kids learn that there is so much more to life than just the end result. They realize that every part of the journey matters.
So, thank you for going on this journey with us. I hope you enjoy the ride.
