Recommended HLA School Supply List

Here is a list of recommended school supplies your student will need to start the school year.

Needed for all classes

  • Tissues
  • Box of bandaids
  • Hand Sanitizer
  • Disinfectant wipes (Clorox)
  • Ziploc baggies (gallon and sandwich)
  • Extra black Expo markers

Kindergarten

  • Large backpack- please label (no wheels please)
  • 1 pair of shoes for P.E. (Velcro preferred)
  • 1 pair of Headphones (no earbuds/over the ear, please) (please label)
  • 1 Plain plastic pencil box (please label)
  • 24- Ticonderoga pencils
  • 1 pair of Scissors (please label)
  • 1 pack of 24 count Crayola crayons
  • 4 Elmer’s glue sticks
  • 1 box of classic colored Crayola washable markers (broad tip)
  • 1 clipboard (for 8.5 x 11 paper)
  • 8 Black EXPO dry erase markers (odorless preferred)
  • Play-Doh (2 of any color in 4 oz. can) or Kinetic Sand
  • 2 Notebooks (composition book preferred)

First Grade

  • Plain plastic pencil box (Please label)
  • 2 wide ruled spiral notebooks
  • 24- yellow #2 pencils, sharpened
  • 1 Box of crayons, 24 ct.- no larger
  • Headphones (no earbuds) (Please label)
  • 6 Elmer’s glue sticks
  • 10 Black or Blue EXPO dry erase markers (any size)
  • 1 pad of post-it notes (3X3)
  • 1 pack of 2 pink erasers
  • 1 box of classic colored washable markers (broad tip)
  • 12 pack of colored pencils
  • 3 folders (1 of each color: green, blue, & yellow)
  • 1 pair of scissors (Please label)
  • Colored construction paper (9 x 12)

Second Grade

  • 1 pencil box
  • 4 Elmer’s glue sticks
  • Box of 24 regular crayons - no larger
  • 24 pencils- (Ticonderoga preferred)
  • Small manual pencil sharpener
  • 4 composition notebooks
  • 10 dry erase markers - (Expo preferred)
  • Pad of 3x3 post-it notes
  • washable markers or colored pencils

  • eraser for dry erase board

Third Grade

  • 2 or 3 folders
  • 2 spiral notebooks - 70 page count
  • highlighter

Fourth Grade
