2nd Semester Choice

Between now and November 1, we are asking all families to once again choose between face-to-face instruction at school OR online learning from home for the second half of the academic year.

Dear Parents,

To start the school year, you were given a choice of how and where your child would be learning for the first half of the year: Face-to-face instruction at school OR Online learning from home.  About 20 percent of our families chose online learning for their students. As we approach the halfway point of this academic year, please start thinking about what the next semester will look like for your family.

Between now and November 1, we are asking all families to once again choose between face-to-face instruction at school OR online learning from home for the second half of the academic year.

  • If your choice is the SAME now as it was in the fall, you do not need to do anything right now. We will assume that you want to continue with the choice you made in the fall for the winter and spring.

  • If your choice has CHANGED from the fall until now, we need to hear from you before Sunday, November 1. Please fill out the form at the bottom of this page to let us know that your student will start coming to school for face-to-face instruction OR will now be staying home for online learning.

It is important to know, November 1 is the deadline to let us know your plans for the next half of the school year. And, just like in the fall, the decision you make is for the entire semester. Because of cost and the logistics involved, you will not be allowed to change your choice after November 1.

As we did this summer, we will provide you with all the information you need to make the best decision for your child and your family. We have produced an informational video highlighting face-to-face instruction AND online learning.

Before you make your decision, please watch this video. If you still have questions, please send an email to CovidQA@hollandpublicschools.org
