Michigan College Month: This week starts Holland's College Month activities.  These events will be focused on helping seniors complete their college applications and apply for financial aid. We encourage all seniors to apply to at least one college, trade school, job, or other postsecondary program during October. Make sure to check your email today for ways you can participate in College Month, including the college challenges you can complete to win college gear and a chance at an Amazon gift card.

Virtual Senior Meeting: Instead of the typical fall Senior Meeting, your counseling team recorded a video detailing important senior year college information. You can watch the video at https://youtu.be/GL5ONAzfISQ

Sibling Pictures: One of the pages included in the yearbook is a siblings page, where students may send in photos of themselves along with their siblings who all attend Holland High. Please email amac8e5@hps21.org with a photo, each of your names, and the grades you and your siblings are currently in if you are interested.

Choir Fundraiser: Please consider purchasing a bag of delicious Goodies Factory gourmet popcorn (made  locally here in Holland, MI) and help the HHS Choirs with expenses this year (uniform purchases, sheet music, a keyboard, new choir folders, offsetting registration costs for Contest for students who cannot afford it, etc). Ideally, students will sign up for one session and then if recurring sessions are needed, they will work with their tutor to arrange it. Tutors, comprised of GVSU students, faculty, staff, and alumni, will be available Monday through Friday from 11a to 9p and Saturday from 12p-5p.  Every tutor has passed a background check and all sessions take place through Zoom which is monitored full time.  Content areas include English Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Spanish.  Additional subjects may be added throughout the year. More detailed information is available on the website www.gvsu.edu/k12connect.  Parents are required to fill out a FERPA/Parent Consent Form (located on the website) for each child prior to the first tutoring session.
