School Nurse 5k Run/Walk Goes Virtual

Virtual Event runs from Oct 1- 11, 2020

Contactless Drive-Thru Packet Pick Up:  Thursday, Oct 1 at Holland West Elementary School, 500 W. 24th St.

Holland Hospital is excited to invite all students, families, friends and faculty to participate in the 2020 School Nurse 5K Virtual Run/Walk. Contactless drive-thru packet pick up will be Thursday, October 1 from 4:30- 6:30 PM at Holland West Elementary School. Every participant will receive an event shirt, ribbon, face mask (our new accessory) and prizes. Unite virtually by sharing your photos and videos on Facebook/schoolnurse5K and participate in the 5K Run/Walk on your own schedule anytime between October 1 and 11. Run or walk around your neighborhood, on a treadmill or hike with family. The School Nurse 5K’s moto is “Healthy Families Stay Active” and aims to get families to enjoy an evening of activity together. This event benefits the hospital’s School Nurse Program and has raised over $183,000 since 2013. 

The best part - students can enter the Run/Walk for FREE by completing ten 30-minute physical fitness activities of their choice prior to the event!  Fitness Tracker envelopes are available on race website. Fitness Tracker envelopes can be mailed in or emailed to cperdok@hollandhospital.org. Register by September 15 to guarantee a shirt.

Earn points to win awesome prizes by tagging School Nurse 5K photos or videos on Facebook, emailing them to give@hollandhospital.org, dropping them off to your school nurse or mailing to Fund Development- 602 Michigan Ave Holland, MI 49423.

For over 20 years, Holland Hospital's School Nurse Program has been working to improve the health and well-being of students K - 12 in the greater Holland area. From daily medication administration to first aid, the school nurses care for the physical, emotional and social needs of over 12,000 students. Please show your support of your school nurses by participating in the 2020 School Nurse 5k Virtual Run/Walk from October 1-11.
