Week of October 26th

Thanks Ms. Ridl for you hard work setting up the Dia De Los Muertos display at the Holland celebration this weekend!

Lots happening this week, including a community meeting with Superintendent Cassidy to talk through the redistricting for Jefferson students next year and our fabulous Fall Fest on Friday (we are still looking for candy donations!)

Lots of Great Things All Around

Important Dates:

Parent Information Meeting on New Neighborhood School Zones: Wednesday, October 28th, 6:00-6:45 pm.

At the meeting, we will:

  • Show parents the new zoning lines for neighborhood schools
  • Discuss the in-district transfer process
  • Answer questions about how students will be impacted by these changes.

Fall Fest is COMING!!! Mark your calendars for our annual Fall Fest: October 30th, 5:30-6:30 pm

Candy Donations! Our candy monster is up in the office. Please send candy donations with your student(s) so they can feed the monster!

Last week to complete the family climate survey: Students came home with a flier that has a QR code to take our Fall Survey. This helps us know what is going well and what we can work on this year to make Jefferson the best it can be! After you take the survey, fill out and have your student return the bottom portion for 10 Power Tickets! The first grade level to get 100% participation gets a pizza party! Link is below.

Ofrenda: The 2nd annual Jefferson Ofrenda is up! Students were introduced to what an Ofrenda is and how we use it to celebrate our loved ones who have passed away. They are welcome to bring in pictures of their loved ones who have passed away to add to our display. It will be up to see during our Fall Fest on Friday!

HPS is now offering preschool programming to families of three-year-olds in the Holland Community!  This is a perfect opportunity for kids with older siblings already attending a school in the district. Take a look!
