Groundbreaking for New HHS Stadium
Holland High School will host a groundbreaking ceremony for the district’s new stadium on Monday, June 1 at 7:30pm.
- Members of the Holland community are invited to celebrate the beginning of this exciting new project for students of Holland Public Schools and the entire Holland Community.
Members of the Board of Education, district and building administrators, along with student athletes and musicians will turn the first shovels of the project at on the existing athletic field.
Construction of the $16 million facility includes:
- New seating for Holland fans on the West side of the field
- Improved visitor seating on the East side of the field
- Press box & scoreboard
- Locker rooms, training rooms, and restrooms under the grandstand
- A Welcome Plaza
- New concessions & ticketing facilities, and restrooms
The facility will be ready for the start of the 2027-2028 school year.
The project is part of a $49 million dollar bond proposal approved by voters in 2025. That proposal also includes funding for the renovation of Jefferson Elementary. That project will begin in the Summer of 2027 and will open in the Fall of 2028 as the new home to Holland Language Academy.
The stadium project is being supervised by GDK Construction Company.
