HHS a College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) Test Site

The College Board Organization recognizes Holland High School as an official College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) Test Site.  Test takers may include:

  • High School Students
  • Homeschool Students
  • Current College Students
  • Adults Returning to College
  • Military Service Members & Veterans

  1. Test takers must register on the College Board website.

  2. Reserve your spot and select a test date using Holland High School’s Form (9 seats/test computers available). On the day of the test, test takers need to bring their test registration form and a government issued photo ID. 

  • Exams Offered:  A person may register to take any exam listed on the College Board website.
  • Cost:  $97.00 per test*
  • Where:  Holland High School’s Media Center, 600 Van Raalte Ave., Holland MI 49423 
  • When:  Wednesdays, from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

*Modern States is a program that can result in a voucher to remove this cost. To qualify, a person completes an online course that also assists in learning the content/preparing to pass the CLEP exam. .

*Military personnel can have exams paid for by the Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Education Support (DANTES) by contacting 850-452-1919.  Additionally, veterans may be eligible for full reimbursement.

*For non-HPS individuals, an additional $20 fee will be collected on the day of the test.

College Credit:  The exams are course specific and designed to assess mastery of the content. By earning a qualifying score, a person earns college credits transferable to various institutions. The majority of colleges within Michigan and other states accept CLEP, however, please note that not all colleges will accept CLEP. Explore any college and their CLEP credit policies to make an informed decision.
