- A recap of the 12th annual School Nurse Fun Run!
It was a beautiful night to go for a walk or run! Thursday Sept 11, 2025 was the 12th annual School Nurse Fun Run to support the Holland Hospital School Nurse Program. Over 250 participants aged 1-84 took to the streets starting at Holland High School to embrace the race's motto of “Healthy Families Stay Active”. Participants could choose to complete a 1.5 or 3 mile course. What event could be complete without activities and food! Thank you to all those that provided food or activity or a booth with information!
The Holland Hospital School Nursing Program started in 1998 with 1 school nurse, 1 health aide and 1 school building in Holland Public Schools. The School Nurse Program now employs 11 nurses, and 1 Community Health Worker in 6 school districts.
The School Nurse Run started in 2013 and has helped raise almost $400,000 to support the School Nurse Program. Thank you to those who participated, sponsored, or donated this year, your support means so much to the school nurses!
