Holland Middle School Information

  • Open House-ALL GRADES August 19th 4-6 
    • Drop in to get your schedules and meet your teachers
  • First Day of School- August 21st Doors open at 7:00 for breakfast.  School starts at 7:30-2:42
  • Picture Day- August 22nd

Other Information: 

  • School Supply List 
  • 7th Grade Vaccinations- We still have close to 40 students who have not completed their vaccination and CANNOT start the school year on time.  Please make sure this is done prior to August 19th so you can get your school. 

Arrival

  • Doors open at 7:00am

  • Drop off in the front of the school- please use the INNER RIGHT lane OR in the parking lot

  • Buses will be dropped off in the bus loop, behind the school

  • Students may go to gym or the cafeteria to sit until 7:25am

  • Breakfast is free in the cafeteria

Schedule

  • 3 min in between classes

  • Advisory = 7th hour teacher

Lunch

  • Dress for the weather!  We DO go outside

  • 20 min lunch/ 20 min activity time

  • Winter- we will provide an indoor option, when supervision is available

  • Please limit-

    • Food for groups- cupcakes, pizzas etc.

Chromebooks

  • Stay at school- unless PATH or checked out

  • You can buy insurance for $20

Lockers

  • For Q1, you must have less than 15 tardies.  If they do not meet this, they may reapply at the end of Q2, per improvement.

  • Students cannot have a 2025-2026 suspension for drugs, vapes, weapons, or threats.  

  • Cannot use lockers that are not currently assigned to students

    • HMS shall have the authority to open such lockers and dispose of all property found therein.

  • Cannot share a locker with a friend OR give out your locker combination 

    • YOU WILL LOSE YOUR LOCKER PRIVILEGES IF YOU DO!

  • Advisory- Time to grow problem solving skills, reflect on grades, and team building activities.

  • REQUIRED-Student Success:  A middle school success class.  Students will learn about digital citizenship and safety, writing skills, and organizational skills.

  • Music Choice: Choir, Music Appreciation, Orchestra, or Band

  • PE/ Art

  • Full year classes: ELA, Math, Science, History and Geography.  

  • Math Options: Math 6, Adv Math 6 (7th grade math), Pre-algebra (8th grade math- must have a 230 or above on NWEA  and teacher recommendation)

  • Advisory- Time to grow problem solving skills, reflect on grades, and team building activities.

  • REQUIRED-Stem: this is a hands-on project-based learning class.  Students will also learn digital citizenship and safety.
