Parent Safety Committee

HPS is looking for volunteers that would be interested in becoming a part of a Parent Safety Committee. The purpose of this committee will be to discuss safety issues and concerns, policies that are safety-related, and ideas about steps to ensure safety. 

  • Led by Joe Soto, HPS Director of Safety & Security
  • Meeting on second Wednesday of every month, 6:30-8:30pm at District Admin Bldg.
  • Starting in October, ending in May.

We hope to have parents or guardians who represent every building in the district:

  • 12 from the high school (3 from each grade)
  • 9 from the middle school (3 from each grade)
  • 3 from each elementary building

Additionally, we will have speakers come in to address various topics and issues related to school safety.
