HHS Theatre Production of Little Mermaid

Have you ever wondered why Holland Public Schools students are released early on Wednesdays? Why does the district set aside an hour each Wednesday for teachers to meet in PLC (Professional Learning Community) teams, and why we believe that time is so important? 

• At its heart, the answer is pretty simple: teamwork.

More than just a fun event, the Holland Hospital School Nurse Fun Run directly supports Holland Hospital's School Nurse Program.

Students can enter the Fun Run for FREE by making a goal to improve their health. This could be a physical challenge, a change in eating habits, or starting a new wellness activity. 

Thanks to community support, this event has raised over $432,400 since 2013.

If a student is absent, arrives late, or needs to leave early, you can let your school's office know through the HPS Mobile App.

• We hope this is a convenient way to report absences and will save you (and our secretaries) a significant amount of time.

Mr. Cal has been volunteering at HPS since 2000. First at Longfellow and then at Jefferson. He works in our Books and Games program and runs a chess club with students.

Happy 90th Birthday Mr. Cal, and thank you for all you do for the students and families at Jefferson Elementary.

The Michigan Art Education Association has named Julie Jacobusse the MAEA 2027 Elementary Art Educator of the Year!

Jacobusse teaches art at Holland Heights and West Elementary.
