Connor Fowler is the latest HPS Teacher to receive a Teachers Live Here grant. He was awarded $27,300 in down payment assistance toward the purchase of a home in the area.
As we prepare for the start of the next school year, it's time to register your student for 2026-27. This is something we ask ALL current HPS families to do EVERY year. Completing the registration lets us know:
- Your student(s) will be returning next year!
- Your household contact information is up to date
- Your student health information is up to date
- if you are requesting transportation for the 2026-2027 school year (Deadline to request bussing is August 1.)
Without this information, your student can not be added to a class list for next year OR have a class schedule created for them.
Holland voters will see a Sinking Fund Proposal on the May 5 ballot. In addition to supporting ongoing facility repairs and improvements, the updated language in the proposal would allow the district to use these funds for transportation and maintenance vehicles. Proposal Highlights:
- No increase in the current millage rate (1.25) over the next 10 years
- Estimated revenue is approximately $2,540,000
- Expanded language will allow funding for transportation and maintenance of vehicles
- Helps maintain and protect voter-approved bond investments
- Reduces strain on the general operating budget
Holland Public Schools is incredibly grateful to the community for supporting the 2025 Millage Proposal. Funding will help build a new outdoor facility to support Athletics programs, Marching Band, and provide space for large community gatherings.
- Work will begin this Spring, following Softball/Baseball seasons.
- Construction of new facilities, bleachers, and field will begin in the Fall of 2026.
- Ribbon cutting and first ever HOME Football game will be held in the Fall of 2027.
The 8th-grade Student Council collected over a hundred items to donate to Harbor Humane Society, ranging from cleaning supplies and food to treats and leashes!
Kristin Constantino is the latest HPS Teacher to receive a Teachers Live Here grant. She was awarded $27,300 in down payment assistance. And, because she will purchase a home inside the district, she received an additional $2,500 to help pay closing costs
