Dear Holland Language Academy Families,
As I step into my tenth year at Holland Public Schools, I am filled with excitement and gratitude for the opportunity to lead this incredible learning community. It’s truly an honor to be the principal of a school that is dedicated to fostering bilingual and bicultural excellence.
To our incoming families, we are thrilled that you’ve chosen Spanish Immersion for your kindergartener. The return on this investment in your child’s education will be profound, as we work together to develop confident, bilingual, and bicultural learners.
Here’s to a fantastic school year ahead!
Warm regards,
Principal Iliana
I am excited for the start of the 2024-25 school year!!! As you all know we are currently doing school at Longfellow, since our school is in the process of some amazing new construction. Things will be a little different as far as the building goes, but the same great learning and behavior expectations will continue for all of us at Longfellow. Don't forget that we will also be starting school at 8:15am and ending at 3:21pm which is 15 minutes earlier than last year. All Wednesday's are still early release days and that ends at 2:21 PM.
Most of you will have access to busing, so make sure to check the parent portal to see what time and where your child will be picked up and dropped off every day. I am going to strongly suggest that at the end of the day you have your child ride the bus home, since our location at Longfellow isn't the best for a lot of cars waiting to pick up kids from school. It will be busy at the end of the day, so if you must pick up your child, please be patient and expect to wait a little.
Open House is Tuesday Aug. 20 from 4-6 PM so we hope to see you there to walk the building and meet your teacher!!!
Enjoy these last few days of summer break and we will see you soon!!!
