Free lunch for all students comes to an end.

Good news and bad news in the school lunchrooms for 2022-23.

  • Good: Breakfast and Lunch will be served int he Cafeteria!
  • Bad: Beginning this year, students will once again be charged for school lunch.

During COVID, students at Holland Public Schools were provide breakfast and lunch free of charge. However, federal funding for this program has ended and students will again be charged for lunch in 2022-2023. (Breakfast will continue to be free for all students at HPS.)

Free and Reduced Price lunches will still be available to students who qualify.  We are encouraging ALL HPS FAMILIES, regardless of financial status, to submit an application for free or reduced-price meals.  (Applications for free or reduced meals in 2022-23 opened on July 1, 2022. If you completed an application before that date, you will need to re-submit an application for the coming school year.)

Students who do not qualify for free or reduced-priced meals must pay full price for lunch.

  • K-5: $2.60/meal | $13.00/week
  • 6-12: $2.85/meal | $14.25/week

Now is the great time to deposit money into your student's meal account. (You will need your student's ID number. Find it on your your Parent Portal). Students can also pay for lunches with cash or check at school.
