Queer & Trans Training - 101

In this training, participants will explore terminology and concepts related to gender and sexual diversity, learn about issues impacting the LGBTQIA+ community, basic ally-ship skills, and review practical strategies for creating more inclusive interpersonal interactions and spaces.

Holland Public School District continues to strive to be inclusive. Students, your voice has been heard and HPS will be providing Queer & Trans 101 training for you. HPS has partnered with Grand Valley State University LGBT Office to provide LGBTQ training. In this training, participants will explore terminology and concepts related to gender and sexual diversity, learn about issues impacting the LGBTQIA+ community, basic allyship skills, and review practical strategies for creating more inclusive interpersonal interactions and spaces.
 
The training is not mandatory, but optional. You do not have to take the training if you are not comfortable doing so. 
Parents are encouraged to join their students in the training. 
 
The training will be November 8, 2021 at 4pm to 5:30pm.
 
It will be virtual over zoom (find the link below).
