Middle School Band/Orchestra - Instrument Information
Miss the Band and Orchestra Instrument information meetings?
There is still time to secure your child’s instrument for the 2021-2022 school year. Follow these steps:
- Be sure child completed the music class choice survey, on line, given by Mrs. Legg our
- Middle school counselor. If there needs to be a change to what you submitted, please email Mrs. Legg at klegg@hollandpublicschools.org as soon as possible.
- Obtain an instrument in one of the following ways:
Meyer Music Rent-to-Own Program (most popular, highly recommended) can be done in 1 of 3 ways:

- *Visit the store: 675 E. Lakewood Blvd
- *Call the store: 616-393-6583
- All instrument supplies, method book and music stand included as well as the repairs!
- (Meyer has a spanish speaking representative on site: ask for Katie)
Use of an instrument from family or friends
- Receive a free inspection at Meyer Music for recommended repairs needed to have the instrument in excellent playing condition for fall, and...
- Purchase the needed instrument supplies and method book from Meyer Music store.
Use of a school-owned instrument:
- One time maintenance fee is asked of borrowers, (small inventory, first come, first serve basis)
- Request a school instrument via emailing director (see email below)
- purchase needed instrument supplies and method book from Meyer Music Store
- (These instruments are intended for families who can not rent or otherwise be able to participate in an instrumental music program)
It is highly discouraged to purchase instruments from big box stores (Walmart, Sam’s Club, Mad Cheetah, etc.) or from Ebay/Internet Sales. These instruments are often inferior in quality and cannot be guaranteed to play well or be repaired! Please contact the music director to assist you in obtaining an instrument in another way.
