Holland High School to host Prom on May 23

Members of the Senior and Junior Classes from HHS/HEC/HVRT will be invited to attend this formal event.

HOLLAND HIGH SCHOOL is excited to host Prom on Sunday, May 23 at Kollen Park. After surveying the interest of the Class of 2021 and applying new guidelines from state health officials, members of the Junior class will now be invited to attend the formal event as well.

Gathering guidelines allow up to 300 people to attend Prom. This number includes staff members and those working the event.  Members of the Senior class who expressed interest in attending will be guaranteed tickets to attend the event. The remainder of the Prom tickets will be made available soon in the Student Success Office to any member of the Senior or Junior class; 1 ticket per student.

Students who attend Prom will be required to follow the COVID protocols outlined in the End-of-Year Events Guidance issued by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services on April 27.

  • Masks will be required for the entire event.
  • Participants will be cohorted into groups of six or fewer.
  • Six feet of distance should be maintained between each cohort, and cohorts will avoid intermingling with others from outside of their cohort for the duration of the event.
  • Individuals may dance with members of their own cohort without social distancing, but face masks must be worn at all times.

“In a year when so much has been restricted or taken away from our students, we are excited to host this event and allow even more students than anticipated to attend.” -Katie Pennington, High School Principal.

Prom is a FREE event for students. It will be held at Kollen Park rain or shine.

Additionally, the Holland High Dress Shop will be open for students to find that perfect dress or other formalwear at no charge.  Details coming soon.
