Congratulations to our September Students of the Month at Holland Middle School:

Grade 6 | ALEXA RODRIGUEZ

We are lucky to have Alexa as a student at HMS. Everyday she models the DUTCH expectations. In our class, there is a student with limited English and Alexa is always quick to support her, without being asked. In a quiet and efficient sort of way, she is able to translate for the other student. Alexa is committed to earning good grades, and frequently checks in to see if she has missing work. She is also committed to learning, and completes all of her assignments with care and great effort. She is thriving at our school, and a role model for others. She has a positive attitude and does her best each and every day. (Nominated by Ms. Conway)

Grade 7 | ARI DOZEMAN

Ari exemplifies what it means to be COMMITTED. She consistently strives to do what is right and gives her best effort in the classroom and in athletics. Her commitment to doing well in the classroom is evident in earning straight A's during the first quarter. Ari consistently models the DUTCH expectations through her respect, responsibility, and positive attitude. She is polite, helpful, and always willing to lend a hand to others. Ari leads by example through her strong character, dedication, and commitment to doing her best. She represents the best of HMS and would be a wonderful choice for Student of the Month! Grade 8 | XAVI CUELLAR 

Xavi has been an excellent member of our classroom community from day one. He comes in ready to learn and is kind to everybody around him. He shows a genuine curiosity for learning - about the subject matter but also about the people in the class. He asks questions and stays engaged in conversations. He brings out the best in those around him through his constant encouragement and positive leadership. He is the kind of student who could be paired up with any partner or put into any group because he will listen to and value all perspectives. Xavi has completed every assignment in class, and everything that he turns in is high quality. His responses show a great deal of effort, thoughtfulness, and maturity. (Nominated by Mrs. Knittel)
