I am honored to have been selected to serve the community in this new way and I look forward to a great 2022-2023 school year.
Dear HHS/HEC/HVRT Students and Families;
As a proud Holland Public Schools employee, parent, and community member, it is with great enthusiasm that I introduce myself as the newly selected Principal of Holland High School. I have worked for Holland Public Schools since 2014, as Director of Holland Early College and an Assistant Principal of Holland High School, demonstrating my commitment to embrace, engage, and empower each and every student.
I have enjoyed over 16 years in education, as a high school teacher, building administrator, and adjunct college faculty member. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Education from Central Michigan University in 2005. I completed my Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University in 2010, continuing on to complete a Graduate Certificate in Principalship. As a life-long learner, I am currently enrolled in the Education Specialist Leadership program with Grand Valley State University.
In my time with Holland Public Schools, I have modeled an innovative and energetic approach to my work, seeking new opportunities to positively impact teaching and learning, program development, and community relations. In my role as High School Principal, it is my mission to build upon a strong history of academic and extracurricular success, as we continue to enhance and sustain a school climate and culture that inspires creativity, joy, excellence and inclusion.
While I expect a seamless shift into the role of High School Principal, I am aware of the anticipation and anxiety that can accompany a leadership change. I can assure you that as a community, we will continue to provide student-centered academic experiences that cultivate rigor, relevance, and relationships. We will continue to prioritize school climate, innovation and programs, student achievement, and customer service at Holland High School.
