Advisory
What is Advisory?
Advisory is a class that meets weekly (on Wednesdays) for 60 minutes. This class begins with 20 minutes of silent, sustained reading time. For the remaining time, students and staff have choices for further academic engagement and/or intervention. Lastly, there are a few scheduled academic success checkpoints, when students monitor their progress and set goals toward positive academic outcomes.
READING: All students and staff need a physical book (or other printed work (E.g. magazine)) and will read individually and silently
ACADEMIC CHOICE: All students will select one of the following academic engagement options
