National Art Honor Society: There will be a National Art Honor Society meeting after school on THURSDAY, March 5 in room C-1305. Group Picture for the yearbook will occur.
Holland Quiz Bowl: Congrats to our Trash Trivia Teams. Team A, with Mason Stricker, Wilson Lin, Chanelle Jackson, and Calista Berry, took 12th, and Team B, with Sam Huizinga, Kimia McMullen, and Ferris Zediker, took 17th place out of 24 teams at White Pigeon’s Trash Trivia Tournament. Shout out to our freshman who excelled at the trash trivia format. It was a fun tournament, and I enjoyed seeing your faces light up on questions you were passionate about.
Holland High Art: Mayor Bocks will be making a PROCLAMATION on Wednesday, March 4th at 4 pm, at City Hall, that MARCH IS YOUTH ARTS MONTH!! This is open to the public. Holland Public Schools will have student art represented in two exhibits for the month of March.
One exhibit will be at Holland Area Arts Council from March 5-28, and the other exhibit will be featured at Herrick District Library, March 2-31. The following high schoolers are represented: @ Herrick: Hector Zuniga, Annie Lou HowellAnjalee GaleKate FergusonKelsie Dekker

Clothing Drive: The Social Services Committee of the Holland Youth Advisory Council is putting on a used clothing drive. Students can bring in gently used or new clothes and drop them off in the red bin located in front of the main office. These clothes will be donated to the new Community Action House Resale store.
NEW Scholarships for HHS Seniors: The United Bank Community Dedication Scholarship, one $1,000 award, and the Bertsch Foundation Scholarship, two $2,000 awards, are now available for Holland High seniors. Deadline is March 13, 2026. SHE SPEAKS Club: There is a new club at Holland High. An all-girls safe space where members can express their feelings through poetry, music, writing, and vision boards while supporting one another in a judgment-free environment. Women's Basketball: Holland's Season ended in the first round of district play on Monday night. The Dutch played the Zeeland East Chix at host Zeeland West. Holland was led in scoring by Miona Rogers with 12 points. Amari Copado added 4. "It was a season filled with unexpected injuries and adversity, but this team was resilient. They learned life lessons about teamwork, overcoming obstacles, and continuing to strive for improvement no matter the circumstance. I'm proud of them for that. Our seniors will be especially missed. Thank you, Jinae Brandon, Keoni Gainey, Faolan Rohr, Maggie Telgenhof, and Maryah Vasquez," said Coach Telgenhof
Men's Swimming and Diving: Congratulations to the 13 members of the Holland varsity swim and dive team: Luke Arendshorst, Aiden Lambers, Anthony Poest, Ryan Geerts, Corey Ross, Jonathan Ross, Simeon Carter, Urban Cassar, Ace Brink, Silas Santellan, Nazario Estrada, Keegan Welsh and Charlie DuMez on a very successful conference weekend at Hamilton this past Friday and Saturday! The medley relay team of Jonathan Ross (backstroke), Luke Arendshorst (breaststroke), Nazario Estrada (butterfly), and Aiden Lambers (freestyle) qualified for state in the preliminary swim on Friday. Arendshorst also went on to qualify in the 200 Individual Medley. At Saturday’s finals, Estrada took two more seconds off of his 100 butterfly to swim a lifetime best 57.64, qualifying Nazario for state. Diver Keegan Welsh finished in 4th place and advances to regionals on Thursday evening at Otsego High School. Arendshorst and Lambers were named All-Conference after their top finishes in their individual events. Arendshorst took 5th in the 200 Individual Medley and third in the 100 breaststroke, and Lambers placed fifth in the 200 free and second in the 500 freestyle. The team of Lambers, Ross (freshman), Urban Cassar, and Arendshorst will compete again tonight at The Second Chance Meet for a shot at qualifying the 200 free “sprint” relay and the 4x100 relay. The meet is held at The Holland Aquatic Center and will begin at 6:30 pm.
