Women's Basketball: Holland traveled to Kelloggsville on Friday night and fell to the Rockets 26-23. The Dutch jumped out to a lead but ended the first quarter in an 11-11 tie. From there, Kelloggsville was able to use its press to increase its lead to as many as 12 early in the third quarter. However, Holland did not quit and climbed back within a possession with time running out. "Unfortunately, we came up just short tonight," said Coach Telgenhof. "As the game went on, we handled their pressure better and were able to use our zone to get them out of rhythm. This is a team that is building game by game so that we are playing our best by the time districts roll around. Each time on the floor is a chance for us to grow, have some fun, and get better." Amari Copado led the Dutch with 12 points. Miona Rogers added 6.
Men's Basketball: The Holland Dutch beat Comstock Park 69-40 to get their second win in a row and to improve to 2-2. Keegan Hulst and Andrew Legg both had 20 points for the Dutch. Josiah VanHekken had 13 points. Legg had 11 rebounds.
Word of the Day
Multitudinous is a formal word with meanings that relate to multitudes. It can mean “existing in a great multitude”—that is, “very many”; or “including a multitude of individuals”; or “existing in or consisting of innumerable elements or aspects.”
The two old friends reminisced about the multitudinous ways in which their lives had changed.
The author’s appearance is expected to attract a multitudinous gathering that will fill the auditorium.
