Student Parking, Tuesday 11/11/25:  Please park in the student lot #1 on West 24th St.  We are RESERVING the tennis parking lot off VanRaalte Ave for Veteran guests attending our Veterans Day program.  Thank you!

9th Grade Vision Screening:  The Ottawa County Health Department will be conducting 9th-grade vision screening during the school day on Friday, November 14, 2025.  Screening is free to students.  Parents/Guardians can call the Health department 616-396-5266 (English) or 616 393--5780 (Spanish) and schedule an appointment if their student misses testing on 11/14/25 at Holland High. Additional information can be found at: www.miottawa.org/hearingvision.

Parents - If you want your student to opt out of the screening, please send a written note with your student on Friday, 11/14/25.  The note should include:  student’s full name, student’s date of birth, decline vision screening on 11/14/25, parent/guardian name, date & signature, science teacher name/9th grade. 

Art School: A representative from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago is coming during 1st hour on Tuesday, Nov 11, for a college visit/portfolio review session. The meeting will be in Mrs.Sligh's Room, C-1305. at 7:45-8:40. If you are at all interested in attending ANY school for ART, we suggest you come to hear what she has to say!  BRING a folder of art for some portfolio review pointers, too! (optional) We can write a 5-Star pass for anyone who wants to come down--let Mr Mulder or Mrs Sligh know by Monday afternoon, please!

Disc Golf Tournament: Get ready for the first annual Thanksgiving Throw Down disc golf tournament after school on Monday, November 24th!Play will start shortly after 3:00 on that last Monday before Thanksgiving Break, and students can choose to play 9 or 18 holes each.  You can register individually for the disc golf tournament using the QR codes in the commons or by using the link attached to the Daily Bulletin. Dutch Dance: Ready to klomp? Registration is now open! Join us for an informational meeting on Monday, November 17, at 6 pm in the Commons. A.P. Testing Information: AP Exam Registration form and payment due Monday, November 10 to Ms. Davenport in the SSO. The College Board requires a late fee of $40 after the November due date, so do not delay. If you have any questions about reduced fee through Free/Reduced Lunch eligibility, let Mrs. Hemmeke know right away.

Free Essay Feedback Opportunity: Through Intend to Attend (I2A), students in grades 8–12 can receive free essay feedback and personalized coaching.
