Women's Basketball: Holland outscored the Eagles of Muskegon Oak Ridge 15-12 in the fourth quarter, but it wasn't enough to complete the comeback. In the last game of the 2025 portion of the schedule, the Dutch fell 50-28. "We are going to use the next two weeks of break to really work on fundamentals and take the next step," said Coach Telgenhof. Miona Rogers tied for the game's leading scorer with 20 points. Holland plays again on January 6 against Unity Christian.
Men's Basketball:
With a one-point halftime lead, Grand Haven scored 21 in the third quarter to pull away from the Dutch 66-48 in the West Michigan Cup opener. Keegan Hulst led the Dutch with 26 points and Will Plummer led the Bucs with 21 points. Then, the Dutch beat Onekema 57-30 in the Grand Haven West Michigan Cup to improve to 4-4. Keegan Hulst had 20 points, Luca Borema had 15, and Josiah VanHekken has 12 points. The Dutch made 12 3s.
Word of the Day
Something described as titanic is very great in size, force, or power.
The batter saved the game in the bottom of the ninth inning by hitting a titanic home run right out of the park.
