A.P. Language Summer Assignment: Attention, students who signed up for AP Lang & Comp next fall: Join our summer Google Classroom with the code o4fzw2pd. There, you will find all the information you need about summer reading requirements.

Summer School: Need to make up credits? Summer school is a great way to get back on track in a supportive, focused setting.

Dates: June 8 – June 30, 2026
Time: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM (Monday–Friday)

Good to know:

• Bussing available Monday–Thursday (no bussing on Fridays)
• Breakfast and lunch are provided Monday–Friday
• Short days, small setting, and a chance to knock out credits without the distractions of a full school day

If you’re unsure whether you should attend, go ahead and sign up to reserve a spot. It’s much easier to remove your name later than to be added to a waitlist once classes fill.

Cross Country: Interested in Cross Country and running super fast this fall? Come to the Cross Country info meeting during both lunch hours in the dome on Monday, June 1. Coach Lambers will have cookies and all the info you need to condition over the summer. She will also have the fall schedule and Parent info to take home.

Holland Sports Performance: This summer, our sports performance program (stay tuned for a new title, coming soon) will have EXPANDED OFFERINGS! We hope to see ALL of our student-athletes in grades 6 through 12 hitting the weight room this summer to prepare for a great 2026-27 school year. The summer is a crucial time for development, and our new Athlete Development Coordinator, Coach Mike Woodby, is ready to take you all to the next level! Please see the summer schedule below: STARTING MONDAY, JUNE 8, 6:30 AM - 8:00 AM (Monday through Friday). For the early risers, a smaller group setting and more individualized instruction, 8:30 AM - 10:00 AM (Monday through Friday) This is our "normal" session and the one that will allow you to use HPS transportation to arrive in the morning. If you're taking an HPS bus, there is no return bus until after summer school is completed, after 12:00 PM. 5:00 PM - 6:30 PM (Monday through Thursday) Evening opportunity for those who work mornings 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM (Friday only) Extra morning session NOTE: No workouts the week of June 29, as this is the MHSAA mandated "dead week" for high school sports. Word of the Day

Cohort refers to a group or band of individuals, as in “a cohort of supporters.” It can also be used for a group of individuals who have a statistical factor (such as age) in common in a demographic study, as in “a cohort of people born in the 1980s.” Cohort can be used for individuals too, as for a friend, companion, or colleague, but it is almost always used in its plural form.

I wouldn’t have made it through graduate school without the help of my supportive cohort.
