Speed Training: Attention, athletes. Starting next week, there will be winter speed workouts every Tuesday and Thursday from 3:10 - 3:50 pm led by track coaches. If you are looking to improve in any sport, speed always helps! Bring a friend. We will meet in the "Upper deck" of the Commons. Go Dutch!
Women's Basketball: Holland hosted Unity Christian in a girls' basketball conference game in the Dome on Tuesday night and lost 66-19. Despite the loss, the team turned a corner in playing with effort, confidence, and determination the entire contest. "We fought every possession tonight, cared about each other, and worked hard for each other. We were a true team and will build off of this," said Coach Telgenhof. Miona Rogers led the Dutch with 9 points, Alba Rodriguez Lima added 6 with a game-high 5 blocks.
Men's Basketball: The men's team fell to Unity Christian 68-36. The Crusaders led the Dutch 36-21 at halftime. Owen Vanderwaal led the Crusaders with 16 and had 12 of his points in the first half. The Dutch were led by Keegan Hulst with 16 points.
Word of the Day
Eminently is used as a synonym of very and means "to a high degree."
Our team came up with an eminently sensible plan to reduce waste.
